Day 1: Pick up & transfer to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park
In the eagerly morning, our driver guide will pick you from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe airport and embark on full day drive to Mgahinga Gorilla National park in south western Uganda.
Have a stop at Uganda Equator for photography and enjoy this scenic drive via farms, local communities and rolling hills. You will have lunch enroute. Dinner ad overnight at your lodge.
Day 2: Mt Sabyinyo Hike
Wakeup very early and go for a brief guide on the safety measures of hiking the Volcano. Start off the hike uphill to conquer the tall standing Volcano. This hike is strenuous but ladders have been put to ease your hiking.
The slopes of Sabyinyo Volcano shelter endangered mountain gorillas, birds and other primates in the park. The summit of the volcano offers you spectacular views of other Virunga Volcanoes, Kisoro town, Rwanda and local communities.
The hike to and down the volcano takes roughly 8 hours. A porter is highly recommended for this hike to help you carry the luggage. Overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 3: Departure
Have a morning cup of coffee, and leave the Sabyinyo area back to Kampala to catch your outbound flight or another sleep over in Uganda’s largest city and capital.
