Detailed itinerary.

Day 1: Explore Kigali capital city; drive to Virunga National Park

Pick up by your trip leader and ready to cross the Rwanda-Congo border crossing into Virunga National Park. First, undertake a Kigali city tour with opportunity to visit Gisozi Genocide Memorial, presidential palace, purchase some souvenirs. After lunch break, proceed towards the Congo border where our guide from D.R. Congo picks you up. Check in at your lodge at Virunga National Park.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Virunga N. Park, Congo

Wake up to enjoy your early morning breakfast and meet the team from Virunga park who will take you through gorilla trekking rules. The official from Virunga will also assign to you a gorilla group and 8 families have been habituated for trekking. Take 2-6 hours navigating via the vegetation, varying altitude as you search for gorillas and spend an hour with them once you have located them. Day 3: Drive from Virunga to Kigali

When you finish your cup of tea or coffee, connect to Kigali via Congo border with Rwanda. Undertake a city tour in Kigali, to visit Kigali Genocide Centre, a UNESCO Heritage site. Also, explore the Kimironko market and many other sites. Connect to the airport after lunch break or be dropped at the hotel to relax, dine and have a night stay.
