Detailed Itinerary.
Day 1: Arrival in Kigali – Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
After arrival at Kigali airport, our driver welcomes you. Embark on a 5 hours’ drive through Kigali city and cross to Uganda via Cyanika border in Kisoro. The drive through Rwanda’s rolling hills, trading center and local communities make the whole experience more enjoyable. Dinner and overnight stay at a safari lodge.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking & community tour
Getup very early, have a hot cup of coffee and with your packed lunch head to the park headquarters for briefing and registration. A park authority includes you in a group of eight with a gorilla family offered to visit. At 8:00am, start off the hike uphill to meet the allocated gorilla group. Trekking in Bwindi Forest is undeniably strenuous lasting between 2 to over 8 hours. This depends on the location of gorillas and their speed of movements. Spend an hour with gorillas, take pictures, capture love videos and enjoy this lifetime adventure. In the evening, you may visit a Batwa community to learn and experience their traditional forest life. Overnight at your lodge.
Day 3: Drive back to Kigali
Have a relaxed morning, take breakfast and check out of the comfortable lodge in the forest. Start to drive back to Kigali with enroute lunch offered. This 4-5 hour journey is so scenic and offers some of the most picturesque landscapes ever. Arrive in Kigali in time to catch-up with your connecting flight from the airport.
