Detailed Itinerary.
Day 1: Kampala – Lake Mburo N/park.
Early pickup from your hotel in Kampala/Entebbe airport, have a short city tour in Kampala. From there, drive out of Kampala and embark on a 5 hours’ drive south westwards to Lake Mburo, Uganda’s smallest savannah park.
Have a brief stop at the Equator, take pictures, coffee and do some shopping. Thereafter, proceed to the park reaching in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 2: Game viewing & Boat cruise
Wake up very early and go to the open savannahs for game viewing. Game drives through the park offer you great views of animals feeding and resting. Among the animals to see in Lake Mburo national park include buffaloes, lions, hippos, giraffes, zebras, Uganda Kobs, Defassa waterbucks, Impalas and bush pigs among others.
Return to the lodge, have late breakfast and wait for lunch. In the afternoon, join a boat cruise along the huge Lake Mburo. Look out on the lakeshores of birds and wild water animals especially crocodiles resting lazily on the shores. Overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 3: Optional Milking experience / Ankole cultural tour & Departure
Today morning, go for an optional milking experience in the neighboring Ankole communities or chill at the lodge as you wait for late breakfast. Checkout of the lodge and drive back to Kampala.
